Green tea is the trend. Green tea also has an effect on the skin, and we will describe this in this article.
Does Green tea extract help against acne?
Green tea is the trend. The advantages over “black” teas or coffee are becoming more and more well-known: The caffeine (teaine) is bound in such a way that it invigorates in a harmonious way, not like a robbery. It acts directly on the brain and central nervous system and not through the heart, as is the case with coffee.
Green tea contains a special active ingredient (EGCG) that kills viruses, lowers blood sugar levels, prevents heart attacks and blocks the development of cancer cells. Added to this are the effects of:
- Tanning agents (antibacterial),
- Manganese (against osteoporosis),
- vitamin C and carotene = provitamin A..
The last two substances usually contain several times as much per unit weight as lemons and carrots. But not all green teas are the same! The Japanese penumbra tea – also known as “gods tea” – is particularly recommended.
